It was a wild and wet evening on Friday 15th November, but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for Sue Mitchell’s Poetry exhibition with Art by Irene Blair. Visitors braved the walk through the woodland to be greeted with a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere as the tree house had been converted for the weekend into a perfect exhibition space. Sue has a new book out of these 12 poems and Irene’s artistic response, the poems were written one a month and take us through the emotions and scenes of the year , at every turn the connection with the season and natural world is perfectly encapsulated in a few lines. We were treated to a reading of select poems by Sue, and it’s always lovely to catch up with , and meet new people.
